How does the vaccine affect that?
Primes the immune system? I'm just spewing guesses.

Anecdotally, does anyone know of any kids suffering from long COVID? 4.6% of 12-18 year olds is pretty high, but in my circles I haven't met anyone that has it.

I know of a couple of instances of type 1 diagnosis in Lakewood in the months following Covid infection in teens but I dont know if the overall numbers are greater than historically.

Tinnitus has been something I seem to have to live with. Had it more mildly and sporadic before covid-19, but it seems to have become a permanent part of my life.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Welp hope Omicron is different.

It's not necessarily true for everyone, and the real long term prognosis is still too soon to call.

They should have some objective way to stratify/quantify long-COVID, and devote resources to studying those with the most severe cases to try and find some commonalities that they can work on treating/managing.

The data suggest COVID-vaccines could be a cure for (non-covid-related) general fatigue, as vaccinated individuals had less fatigue than the uninfected (end sarcasm).

. . . alternatively, there appear to be sampling or response biases.

This is great data for showing why the gold standard in scientific research are double-blind studies.

How do you design double blind studies to measure long term (after-)effects of an illness? That doesn't make sense to me.

You can't.

That doesn't mean the next best alternative is sufficient, reliable, useful, or meaningful.

COVID-19 could temporarily reduce male fertility, but COVID-19 vaccinations don't.
