Sapphire Reserve New Annual Fee

So I opened my card in March and they marked my renewal date for April 1 which gives mte the new annual fee.

Is there anything I can do to be eligible for the $450 annual fee? Or am I out and now I have to pay $550?

if I keep the $450 I will be downgrading my card to the preferred but if I get the $450, im keeping the card another year.

Any advice would help!

Similiar situation but they dont seem to budge via SMessage for me atleast. Never know until you ask.
