Also talked about.
Your referring to special production with hashgacha temidis. (Hashgacha tzemuda)

I'm surprised no asked how kashrus agencies are doing hashgacha
this was referring to standard products certified by national agencies.
To date this has been the best answer
Last week I actually asked a friend who works for one of the big kashrus agencies about this. It's not simple. In many instances they need to improvise, rely on video feed and going over the purchase orders etc.. Most plants only get a visit a few times a year anyways. This usually won't work for doing a kosher run in a nonkosher plant. so eventually you will start seeing more products missing from the shelves.
I will now bow out of the conversation I started to avoid getting into trouble

I'm assuming you already knew that before he posted, and I'm assuming you're a bit surprised by what some of them have been relying on. Accurate?

I'm a big fan of Belgian Fries. I guess over there they have a food excess problem (maybe due to the highest COVID-19 mortality rate in the world, dead people not eating).

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/04/28/coronavirus-belgians-urged-to-eat-fries-twice-a-week-during-lockdown.html
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Went shopping with DW this morning. That had pretty much everything. Steak, shrimp and watermelon. What more do you need?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Why not use instacart?

Why not use instacart?
two thoughts on Instacart.
1. First delivery day is often 5 days out in the BOS area. Not always but often.
2. With some many out of work and applying for snap, you'd think they would make it easy to use snap online, but apparently bureaucracy is still at it's finest. You still can't use snap online in mant states at most stores. Way to govt

Went to one of the largest kosher butcher shops in Brooklyn didn't have a single slice of rib steak. Glad I have some in freezer

I guess I'm spoiled with Instacart having plenty of kosher here.
Pro tip: Make orders every couple days and edit the order as needed closer in.

One more thought. Instacart for shoprite for instance is about 4x more expensive than actually waiting on a relatively short line to get in the store and shopping in a pretty empty store comparatively speaking.

Interesting. No price difference for our local grocery.

Meh.
1. You're older and are more at risk.
2. If stores only had delivery people picking up multiple orders at a time it would be safer for everyone.
3. You're supporting people that have chosen to keep working and collect a paycheck. They can turn off the app at any time if they don't want to have any risk.

+ 100 how could I have forgotten. I think I pointed out in another thread the absurd price gouging of Instacart
