Very scary.

A number of people I know, myself included, have been symptom free for 3-4 weeks but are now sick again.

A medical professional begged me to spread the word.

There is a certain percentage of people that get diseases even though they were vaccinated against them (hence the anger on anti vaxxers). It doesn't mean that the standard person isn't immune to those diseases after getting them.

I added a wiki for ppl to report 1st time symptoms vs 2nd time symptoms.
Also important to remember that the reinfection rate in SK is 2%, not necessarily a indicator bc its early on.

In LKWD a very popular DR. said to ignore positive tests after clearing symptoms for a while, meaning in his opinion your not contagious.
Always praying for delayed baggage.

Did you test positive again?

The excuse at the time was that this was a new virus and he didn’t know. I’m not sure what’s changed.

This is definitely true. Then again, it’s still quite scary.

This is a new virus that the doctors are just learning themselves.
That's why my doctor felt it's imperative that the word get out that starting this week in the Frum community people are seemingly getting it again.

The more I hear about the varied symptoms the more inclined I am to believe it is man-made.

81mg Aspirin as short term safety measure to thin bloods until bloods come back.
hasn't aspirin etc. been detrimental to covid patients?

Why would you say that, because it’s an NSAID?

Sheychis??
I have heard this again and again.  Some people are fine for a week and get the symptoms again, others like you for 3-4 weeks.  A doctor told me that he has seen people symptom-free for a week, get mild symptoms, symptom-free for another week, get mild symptoms, symptom-free for another week, then get HIGH FEVER all of a sudden!

Since this is most likely a man-made virus (yes, I believe that the lab in Wuhan, from where the zero patient came, mistakenly let loose the virus they were manufacturing and manipulating), it is harder to rely on previous patterns of "normal" flu or corona viruses.  On the other hand, we also have the "normal" chicken pox that can remain dormant for a lifetime and then wake up in a different from as shingles.  Yes, I believe we are in for a ride with this one!

Don’t see any indication of the confusion regarding this virus that it’s man made.

I’m actually really curious where they are on that. I know of a perfectly healthy 1 year old baby showing no symptoms of anything who somehow found and chewed half a baby aspirin and within a few hours temperature spiked to 105, and has had fever for a few days now, though it got much lower b”h.

I have 2 friends who had babies in the last week, with almost identical stories, one in Lakewood and one in Brooklyn.

Wives had real symptoms the week after Purim, and got tested at their OBs as they were close to their 9th month. Both indeed tested positive (one spent 2 nights in the hospital for breathing issues). Within 2 weeks all symptoms went away for both of them, and one of them completely stopped being careful (because “I already had it”).

They both were tested as they checked in to the hospital this week to have their babies. Both tested positive.

PS: One of my friends (no symptoms until now, never tested) started having a cough and some breathing trouble this week.

Did they get a negative test and then test positive or did they just stop having symptoms?

Just stopped symptoms AFAIK. My point is not that they got it again, it’s that it’s either that or people have it a lot longer than they think.

That’s very scary, because a tremendous amount of people have been throwing all caution to the wind with statements like “I had it already”.

Possibly a difference between getting a vaccine and getting the disease.

Genius kid probably read “Baby Asprin”, and thought “hey, that’s me”. But seriously, how do babies typically react to that dosage of Asprin?

Also, did they test the baby for COVID-19?

Just because the vaccine isn’t 100% effective at vaccinating, doesn’t mean anyone who got the vaccine is getting reinfected with the disease they got vaccinated for. All it means is that the vaccine didn’t work its magic for them.

Also, Antivaxxers aren’t angry that the vaccines don’t work, they’re afraid its unnecessary and/or causes Autism and other medical issues.
