I've been using ifttt since it was first suggested and there was only a few minute delay. Now, it's 20 plus minutes. Same delay for GroupMe applet and email applet. THE New SMS way is instant! Question is, what do I do about the other accounts I follow?

Don't know if it's related, but since they stopped SMS service, my Twitter's push notifications works 1 day out of 2. Never had issues before (and not just for DD). Is it only me?

Exactly. Lots of SMS options, very few that can handle millions of SMS for a low cost.

Plus, who are you giving your number to? What's in it for them? Will they spam or phish you? Will they sell your number and data?
