I thought "MS" was just a generic way of saying you used points/miles on any random airline.  Surprised to learn that MS=EgyptAir!

MS is after the Arabic name for Egypt (Masr). It is etymologically related to מצרים

Didn't want to make a new thread just for this, but has anyone flown this route to take advantage of the ~$1000-$1400 roundtrip J fares with AlItalia/Delta ex-CAI to the US?

Pretty standard from what I see.  For the AlItalia flights, CAI-FCO-NY.  For the France flights, same but with a connection in Paris.
