Lol. Saying you apologized or even having MSM say you apologized, doesn't mean you apologized.
"I regret if the way I say it in any way gave people a feeling of being treated the wrong way — it was not my intention," de Blasio said at his daily coronavirus press briefing Wednesday. "It was said with love, but it was tough love."

ETA:
Me, "Hey CV, you disgusting miserable excuse for a slave."
CV, "That's not nice, apologize!"
Me, "I'm sorry if that offends you."
See how that's not an apology? An apology is stating what you did wrong, owning up and taking responsibility, not putting the onus on the victim for "being offended". The most important part of an apology is pledging you won't make the same mistake. On the same day of his supposed apology, cops were targetting Jews.
Got it. Let me be clear. He was apologizing for the words he used, not the action he took.
I'm with you Yehuda57 on this one. It's not a real apology "for the words he used" when it's worded like that.
Furthermore, imho, it's not even enough for him to apologize for the words. Like let's say instead of Jewish Community he said "a small minority of chasidim in williamsburg" or something (which would at least be accurate), that would still be a horrible tweet for 3 reasons:
1. It was a pre-approved event, the NYPD were involved in setting it up, so why are the citizens getting all the blame and not his own office/NYPD?
2. He's still picking on a couple citizens in Williamsburg when thousands of other New Yorkers did the same thing in parks across the city that same day
3. He is bringing religion into this which will just stoke tensions and blame
