Cell Phone Not Working - Overloaded Towers?

Over the last few weeks my cellphone is barely working.
When people call me it usually just hangs and doesn't ring. Even if they hear a ring, it doesn't ring by me. Many texts don't come through. It's difficult for me to place an outgoing call.
The evenings seem better than the mornings.
I'm wondering if it's because so many people are using cell phones for conferences etc. due to Covid-19.
I'm using Freeup Mobile which uses AT&T network with a 3G phone.
What are your experiences and what do you think the reason is?
