Has anyone here who had Covid-19 seen this by their kids?

My kids developed weird rashes.

My 7 week old daughter tested positive at the end of March. She had pretty regular symtoms, i.e. cough, fever etc [not sure if she lost her sense of smell.]
We didn't notice any sort of rash on her while she had it.

Strep can cause a rash, my daughter has had that before.

Rash has absolutely been seen as a sign of COVID in otherwise asymptomatic patients. I would have that high on your differential. The office would likely appreciate a heads up of what you suspect before you march them in :p

Why jump to coronavirus when a rash can be strept, hives, allergies etc.
My kids have had all of the above. One of my kids even looked like vashti after eating a greek yogurt(it has live cultures and it can be strong for babies)

Common things being common - COVID is extremely prevalent in NYC currently and 2 different kids with similar rash increases the likelihood. Not a sure thing, but important to have on the differential.

The next morning the rash was gone... So we did not end up going to the Doctor.

But did you test him for antibodies? Can he get the rash a second time or is he immune? Did he catch the rash at a kids porch minyan?
