What is exact date inquiries fall off record?

Hi all,

I had a bunch of inquiries in mid-November 2 years ago, and was waiting for them all to fall off to sign up for some more (my Experian is shot with these).

My understanding was that they fell off exactly 2 years later, but my credit report seemed to say that they fell off at the end of the month. If this is the case, I'll miss out on some deals.

Can anyone shed some light of the timing of them falling off?

EQ & TU should be two years to the day. EX is 25 months.

I'm pretty fresh to all this, but from what i understand you might be able to benefit from freezing your CRs and getting to choose which one they will look at by unfreezing one without all the hard pulls...?

Search the forum for "credit freezing" and u will find a few threads discussing this method in depth.

Careful there. If you don't know what you're doing with freezing, you may end up getting burned.

Go ahead and apply now if something is going to expire and if you're denied you can wait until dec to call reconsideration and they will have fallen off by then.  23 month old inquiries don't count for much anyways...

What you're saying is true but the credit will be pulled when the OP applies, not when he calls recon, so they will see the inquiries. But like you said, Inquiries more than a year old are insignificant.

sure, it'll get pulled and the recon may look at the report there and notice it was about to fall off.  or he may do a soft pull to get an "up to the minute" report and never even look at the report that's tagged to the app.

and yeah, waiting for the 23.9 month inquiries to drop off is more housekeeping than score building.  i think my score moved 3-4 points last time 3 inquiries fell off...
