We were given a bird show this past shabbos in our tree next to our dining room- mother n father cardinal feeding 2 babies right in front of the window. Then some really small blue bird with a white dot on the wings pecking around. A few others we haven’t seen before and then the most remarkable one: a small bird completely striped blue and white from beak to bottom! It was so cool! We had to delay our settlers game for this 

Correct, so obviously the coolest birds only come by on Shabbos

That's an insane price. Even if it's junk, it'll last one season for sure... And even if one or two feeders break it's still a great deal.

I have a friend in Boro Park who I got into this. He put up a feeder a week ago and he's already had woodpeckers, house finches, goldfinches, cardinals, and tons of others.

Of course the cardinal waited till Sunday. Though the black capped guys should have been there shabbos.

If I want to attract both orioles and hummingbirds, I figure I can buy an oriole feeder for nectar which should attract both (my understanding is orioles can't feed from hummingbird feeders but vice versa shouldn't be a problem). Sound reasoning?

To my great excitement, I confirmed another 2 species yesterday in my backyard which I have never seen before.
I didn't really see them, as I saw little birds jumping from branch to branch half blocked by leaves about 30-50+ feet above me, I managed to get some pictures (not the greatest) and to my great surprise they were 2 new species (I am now up to 35 species spotted in my backyard).
