Had one of them on Shabbos as well. So freaky.

Very cool! Would love to spot these guys..

Not sure if they like the berries from trees/bushes around my house or not.

TBH it's not a common sighting for me.

I'm enjoying the fledging cardinals that are just starting to get their color. It's a messy patchwork of red and grey.

Red fox!
Would make sense, as we have plenty around.
Just didn't seem like one when I saw it.

Spotted species #45 today!

Always fun to get a "rare" from the Merlin Bird ID App.

Black-throated Blue Warbler (Male)

We spotted a new species yesterday, however we are boggled as to what it was!

We don't have a picture to reference, so this is the description as we remember:

- They were really small, like chickadee sized
- The head was faint yellowish, maybe even olive colored
- Chest was white with thin brown streaks
- The wings had a pronounced white square looking feather in the middle

It was a pair of them, and they weren't afraid when we came close to the window.

I didn't actually see them eating, but they were on the branches next to our suet feeders when we first spotted them.

If anyone has any ideas, or good resources (with pics) that we can use to figure it out that would be helpful. TIA

What color were the feathers? What about the eyes? Anything else we can go on?

Thanks!

I think for the most part the top half of the bird was that washed out yellowish/Olive color. I think like 2 different shades.

I dont recall any eye rings but i forgot to specifically look for that at the time.
