On that note.. I thought it was pretty cool to see a Female White-breasted Nuthatch for the first time last week.

Lol sorry! As you were replying I was in middle of editing my post to include that info.

Males have a black head. The Females have a gray head.

New species today: Eastern Towhee

Unfortunately it took off before I could get a picture. We heard its distinctive "tweeeet" but sadly we did not hear it say "drink your teeeeeeea"

What's this?
At a glance looks like a red-tailed Hawk.

Was funny getting a Merlin from the Merlin App  ;D

It was low in our yard and making its falcon calls which was pretty cool... Almost looked like it wanted some Warbler lunch...

Eastern Towhee

We also had one in our yard again yesterday. It hadn't been here in months! (And this time i was able to get a couple of pics)

If you look closely you can see its red eyes.

I mainly wanted to post this picture though... The design of its wings is really cool! It looks like wheat!

I thought they were pretty common around here. I've spotted them a number of times.
