These are obviously people who are done with the guidelines. They don’t believe the situation on the ground warrants the home confinement any longer, and they are acting on it.
Then I assume they’ve already gone back to minyan?  ::)

This is insane and I can’t believe brooklyn or lakewood people would be okay with it, after they went crazy with shuls closing. HINT: if your Rav says your shul has to be closed, and you can’t daven with a minyan to the ribbono shel olam, you shouldn’t be traveling to a “nicer” place to live our your quarantine.
I’m not so good at getting hints
What does shuls closing have to do with not going to a nicer place to quarantine?
Not everyone’s able to act like it’s tisha Bav for 8 weeks straight

Spend a day in a hospital or nursing home and you’ll understand why it’s necessary

How many gas station bathrooms will you visit on the way? How many people will you meet on the airplane and in the airport? Will you bring a 2-4 month supply of food etc with you, or will you go shopping when you're there?
Etc etc
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Are you planning on bringing all supplies and food with you? If not, you will be going to stores to buy supplies potentially unknowingly opening the flood gates and infecting others of asymptomatic

why do you need a 2-4 month supply of food? You’ll do the same shopping you do in your home town.

I was really asking on your original text that seemed to imply that it has something to do with the shuls being closed. I thought maybe you meant that you shouldn’t try to be comfortable if shuls are closed
Also, if it’s a problem that your asymptomatic, how can countries like Israel start opening up?

I didn’t mention shuls, that was another DDFer

Israel had way less cases than US as a whole and has population close to size of NY.  NY accounts for for 1/3 of the US reported cases. We are densely populated, Israel is spread apart. Israel also acted fast to contain the virus shutting everything down. You can’t compare even a little. Those in NY stay put.

One of my workmates rented a villa in Orlando. Flew out via PHL. Brought along enough food for the length of the stay, so not to have to go shopping. I personally wouldnt do it (yet...) but is it so wrong to stay in a big beautiful villa with a pool instead of a tiny apartment?

If you're wearing masks and gloves, you shouldn't be infecting any gas stations or grocery stores.
Go to a more beautiful/ comfortable area and quarantine there.

For those in Boca Raton, Costco via Instacart has some options for Kosher cheese, meat etc
For Orlando, Winn Dixie via Shipt has some options as well.

For other locales check out Chabad sites for Kosher options and follow up with the delivery services to see if they have those items. If you don't see an item on a site you can usually manually request it.

Stay home, they will notice the yarmulkas and the "howyaknowimjewish" signature baseball caps.

Are you changing gloves between surfaces? If not essentially useless.

People doing this are infecting others whether or not they realize it. I guarantee if you ask a doctor on the front lines if this should be done, they would immediately say NO! I see COVID patients daily, for the love of G-d don't do this.

You need to change your mask pretty often for it to be effective also. And change your gloves every time you touch / adjust your mask.

Agreed, but DoH is being lax with the masks and saying to reuse unless soiled. Gloves cannot be reused from surface to surface.

For health reasons or for supply reasons?
I'm not saying I change my mask every time, just saying that you shouldn't think you aren't spreading germs if you don't.

I am surrounded by a whole new set of people each time I shop.
