My whole beef was about beaches and spring break. That is why I was called out on that and not Mardi Gras.

Most citizens won't blame government when they believe the government acted in good faith and that's when covid all started.

Currently, I believe the tide is turning, people don't understand why a clothing store  taking  more seriously SD then a packed wallmart must be closed. A beach can only open on May 22 and not May 21, what changed overnight.

In the USA we live on a model of freedom and  government has an obligation to restrict the least possible.

For all those saying keeping the beaches open isn't a problem, and Florida knows it and is smarter for it, consider that we ARE STILL closing beaches as recently as last week because of over-crowding. It's not ok. It just pays the bills.

Walmart's locally where I live are backed to the brim, literally.  It's not people buying groceries. Lowes and HD are the same.  But a local clothing store can't have  appointments.

It also just happens to be,  most courts that have reviewed Lockdown/Stay at Home orders found them to be illegal. That's for many different reasons including finding them to be "Arbitrary, Unreasonable, and Oppressive"

Here's the thing people miss about Florida. The locals have all stayed home. All those people coming from hotspots? When someone gets sick in FL, but they are a resident of another state, it doesn't count towards our numbers. They count the infection on the home state's numbers. Florida's numbers look great, but the truth is a lot murkier.
