That's the point. There was enough for them to get charged outright. But even if not, there is absolutely no doubt that at the very least it should have gone to a grand jury. They very clearly covered for the killers. There was barely an investigation. Now the video came out, but they've had time to sanitize everything, develop stories, etc.
You keep coming up with excuses, which as I've stated, may be enough for them to beat a murder charge, but definitely not enough for every person to realize that they killed a man for nothing.
I think you are missing my point, the prosecutors have every right to go to a GJ, but to press charges when it gets media attention just because, is wrong.

Finish your investigation, it's not like these guys were going to get up and run.
These people are currently being prosecuted by the press.
Possibly they will get convicted and possibly not. But to just finish [press charges] an investigation when NYT, CNN and CSNBC pick up a story is wrong.
When the video came to light, they should reopen the investigation but to just press charges.
Some will say these white guys are only being prosecuted because it happens to be was a black guy that was the guy killed.
