Closing arguments today. Haven't been paying as close attention, but it has been interesting to note the differences in reaction to the Rittenhouse trial. I don't know that the jury will convict, the citizen's arrest law might be just enough of a sticking point to provide "reasonable doubt", and you can never know what a jury will do. But in public opinion, it's difficult to find people who are on the defense's side. Even with the citizen's arrest law, it seems like everyone is in agreement that these people are guilty as sin. If everyone or the system was as racist as the Rittenhouse rhetoric would have you believe, why aren't there hundreds of thousands of viewers on conservative live feeds calling for acquittal? Am I wrong? Is there a massive movement following the case convinced of the defendant's innocence?
