I don't think she sat with Bibbi at the subcommittee.

There is talk the government specifically wants to set the limit low so they can blame the SC for breaching the borders when they rescind it

Looks like the SC may overturn the entire ban on Israelis arriving which would play into Bibbi’s political ploy of blaming the court.

Foreign medical records (PCR, vaccination, etc.) aren't currently accepted without some kind of medical proof verified in Israel. The only proof currently accepted is an Israeli antibody test (this is actually an improvement over prior procedure, which also required an Israeli doctor to sign off, which would be a problem for someone who doesn't live there and isn't a member of Kupat Holim).

If anyone wants to complain that it's not fair that Israel won't accept foreign medical records, they can drop off their complaints at the Photoshop labs.

1. For this with teudat machlim or teudat chisun, no ishur is required
2. I don't think you need a test to leave

HOWEVER your destination country may require a test, some need it 72 hours before departure והמחמירים before arrival.
There is also talk of mandatory rapid testing before all departing flights

That is correct. US currently requires test within 72 hours of flight.

ELAL is trying something with mandatory testing to board a flight, with rapid tests administered at the airport.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

One of my siblings has a flight from Israel to the US in a couple weeks on a Sunday morning at 9 am. When the US says that they require a covid test within 3 calendar days of departure, does that count the day of departure as a day? I.e. do they need a test on Friday, or is Thursday after 9 am fine?

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/testing-international-air-travelers.html

Quote
CDC does not recommend getting tested again in the three months after a positive viral test, as long as you do not have symptoms of COVID-19. If you have had a positive viral test in the past 3 months, and you have met the criteria to end isolation, you may travel instead with documentation of your positive viral test results and a letter from your healthcare provider or a public health official that states you have been cleared for travel. The positive test result and letter together are referred to as “documentation of recovery.”

A letter from your healthcare provider or a public health official that clears you to end isolation, e.g., to return to work or school, can be used to show you are cleared to travel, even if travel isn’t specifically mentioned in the letter.

Maybe @Dan means in practice airlines aren't accepting this

So for a 9am Sunday flight the test can be taken on Thurs, Fri or Sat?
