Applying now for entry but not 100% sure where I am going to stay. Can I give them an address now and change it if need be?
I was told yes, but can't vouch for that

One other development is that you can go in person to משרד האוכלוסין in Yersualayim (only)(Queen Shlomziyon St 1, Jerusalem, 9414601, Israel) and they will give you an ishur in person for entry of eligible individuals. Apparently the process is very quick, people are in and out in 20 minutes. From 8 to 10 you can come without appointment, after 10, by appointment only

My brother said they are only letting people in who have an appointment and they're basically ignoring any Americans

When sending in the application for entry permit, make sure that the file size of the PDF is less than 5 MB. Apparently that's an unpublished rule

Here is the full list of cases and guidelines for the purpose of applying for an entry permit to Israel:
1. All required documents must be submitted in one PDF file not exceeding 5 MB
(Document compression services like ilovepdf.com can be used)
2. Applications with missing documents will be returned to the applicants and will not be processed until they are completed
3. Each applicant requires separate set of affidavits

Anyone have an older version of the website saved to see if it was always there?

Officially need to stay. Threats of denying future entry to Israel if they don't comply, remains to be seen whether or not that's enforced

I seem to recall some story from a few months ago of people coming to Israel to do something, staying airside and flying back to their point of origin. I don't recall the exact details.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

מה יעשה הבן ולא יחטא?

They are literally saying we won't allow you to do it legitimately (BTW, if my flight was a little earlier, the test I took upon arrival should be good enough).

Following up on this. The email I received from UA regarding requirements for my flight back to the US doesn't seem to say anything about 72 hours. It just says that PCR test can't be before MM/DD. With that in mind, would they let me board the flight from TLV with a PCR test that was taken 79 hours before departure? (which means I can use it even without editing the PDF!)

I think if you stay airside or stay in the airport you will probably be OK, but if you leave the airport, I think they will give you problems

To US is 3 calendar days prior, not 72 hours.

The question is whether UA TLV check-in agents are aware of this, or am I safer editing the date on the PDF just in case I encounter a clueless check-in agent on a power trip?

They're well aware. That being said, don't expect to make your flight if you show up at T-75...

Should I tell them "Dan said that you're all aware"?
