Good news (surprisingly early). Green Pass validity to be extended through December:

Great news. Mine was initially valid through end of July, so I'm definitely happy it's being extended

If not, do you know who/where the cheapest possible private option with the fastest results?

Spoken like a true Jew. Wants the fastest AND the cheapest PRIVATE service.

Call Asaf Harofe during Israeli business hours and find out what they offer. I believe I posted earlier the number for Itzik Benjamin from BB. I think he charges ILS 500 for a home visit if it's relatively local. Might do for less if you come to him. I'm sure there are plenty more.

Regarding the letter, would they give me one if I don’t have any first degree relatives in Israel, but am Israeli, without an Israeli passport?

Contact the Israeli consulate and tell them your situation. See what they say. They might say apply for a passport, but since there's probably no time maybe they'll issue a temporary Laissez-Passer or give you some kind of a letter.

But from the letter it seems that only vaccine was extended not recovered patients

Not necessarily. It seems to address those that were issued until (through the end of) June, asking that they are extended until (presumably the end of, but you can count on these professors to be unable to write clearly) December.

The letter is addressed to the IT department, so presumably, we should be able to find out rather quickly, but trying to get a new Green Pass issued.

Currently, the cheapest place is at the airport. Results in about 12 hours. Though it needs to be up to 3 days prior to departure (not arrival in the US) even if that's more than 72 hours.

This is just wrong. This is how the process gets messed up for honest travellers.

You are entitled to your opinion.

I haven't seen any evidence to back your claim of the process getting messed up. It's a busy-body bureaucratic process. No one really cares about any science.

A faulty process is designed to get messed up by design.

How long before a flight are you supposed to fill these out? I am traveling on a Motzei Shabbos, so when should I fill them out

Indeed you did.

The weird thing is (because it just reveals how arbitrary and non-science based the rules are) that it's now going to be a universal date for everyone, regardless of date of infection or vaccination, or of any antibody level or anything else.

But since my flight is Motzei Shabbos, I would either need to fill it out 30 hours before flight, or 3 hours before. Which would they prefer?

The list has proof of recovery, how did I show this? Will positive and negative test do it?

Can be done at the airport during check-in.

I am sure there are, but I'm not the person to ask about that. Haven't been to Jerusalem in quite a few years. Definitely not since Covid-19 hit.

I agree, because we know that reinfections do happen (albeit rarely) and that antibodies wane in some recovered patients. Then again, we likely don’t have enough data to handle this optimally.
