Anyone had any experience with sending in their docs to the consulate a little more than 2 weeks before and it was ok?  Since my flight is on a motzei shabbos, I'm wondering whether to send it in on the friday (15 days before) or wait till sunday which prob won't be looked at until monday (at best)

We got a response. It took a while, but they got back to us.

How long is "a while"? When did you send it in?

I started emailing them on April 13th, they responded in a few days with a link clarifying what I needed in order to enter. After a few back and forth they finally responded on May 3rd that they got our application with a reference number.
I did email more than once, including again after lag Baomer.

See email below.

Three days later we got our permission to enter. I even found a mistake with my son's passport number and they corrected it right away.

Hello

Your reference number for inquiries is  *****

make sure the file is less than 5 mb.  I'm not sure because the email did say that if you email them again it's going to put you at the back of the line....

After the Meron tragedy, there was an effort to pressure the government to issue ishurim for parents who want to visit their children learning there to comfort them. Does anyone know if anything came of this and how to go about obtaining one? My son told me today that he heard that the Mir indeed gave ishurim to parents of talmidim who requested them.

Sorry if this has been asked already, but I was unable to find it.

Which is the best travel/health insurance to get for Israel that covers coronavirus?

Thanks!

I got from insubuy.com.  I googled "international travel insurance with covid coverage" and that was one of the first sites that comes up.  I paid $17 and change for a 10 day trip.  They give you a letter that has a bold red statement saying that Covid is covered like any other medical condition

Is the Covid tests that are given in CVS or Walgreens (i.e NAAT tests) acceptable for travel?

My in-laws landed at 5 PM and were in a local gas station getting their blood drawn at 6:30 with luggage and rental car in tow (and after Covid tests).
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

Who did they use? Cost?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!
