My experience with hatzalah was not as good as that. They sent me my results within 12 hours, but then I didn’t hear back from the Misrad Habrius. I filled out the form myself to exit quarantine and uploaded the test results. They responded that the test was not in their system. I had to call hatzalah for 2 days in a row until I was assured  that the lab uploaded and only then did I get the exit, 4 days later.
I’m not saying not to use them, just be on top of getting the results.

If a foreigner with a permit (no Tav Yarok or Misrad Habriut papers) flies to Israel with a 2 hour connection in a red country (Turkey) are the quarantine rules any stricter than flying direct from USA?

No

I called into Misrad Habriut and the rep said, any foreigner arriving from Turkey is required to Quarantine in a Melonit, regardless if it was a connection or not. They understand the connection exemption to be only for Israelis. Do you know factually know otherwise?

I was referring to the less than 12-hour layover mentioned below.
I didn't realize they started making difference between vaccinated / recovered and others - sorry for that

Can anyone offer the Israeli government to open up serology testing in each consulate in the US in conjunction with an Urgent care? The Urgent care will pay for all expenses of such an office, if you provide them with 2,000 patients each day, even for shabak security verifying the identity of each person and delivering the blood vials in a brinks truck to the lab ensuring that no cheating (Not like in Israel where you can for the right price get someone else's blood in your name)  and whoever has positive results should be able to get a permit......

In case you didn't realize, it is Friday, which is traditionally a day for blabla on DDF. And that post drips of sarcasm...

We went on Tuesday to Refuit (a block away from shefa, off shamgar). No appointments, no lines, NIS300. We tested at 7:PM. My results were forwarded directly to misrad habriut, and at 3am that night, I got an email that my bidud ended. My wife's results were not forwarded automatically (possibly because they mispelled her first name), so we filled out a form online, and uploaded the results on Wed. Next day they responded with request for copy of passport, and Friday we got the all clear.

FYI. Tenelab/tenecare no longer doing serology tests at the airport. We arranged for ours at the place we are staying.

The Covid test requirement should follow. (Can someone explain to me why you need a Covid test to leave the country?!?)`
