As of now this does not effect student visa holders. But this is up for debate recently.

Anything in-law means it’s second-degree or further. C’mon man... :P

My understanding from when it was posted is that someone with a first-degree relative who is a citizen or permanent resident living in Israel, can get authorization to visit Israel with their spouse and/or children.

But in your example, your wife and kids wouldn’t be able to get authorization to travel to Israel without you to visit your Israeli father.

Just to clarify, if I go to visit my father she can come along?
Thank You

When it says a foreigner with a first degree relative can being their spouse and children, does it mean Adult children? What about a daughter-in-law? Would that be allowed as a "child"?

Daughter = child
In-law ≠ child (this part is obvious to me)

That's something I can live with.
Let's hope they don't impose more stringent restrictions soon

NO. US Health Insurance (and any health insurance) covers MEDICALLY NECESSARY procedures, treatments, and tests. The COVID-19 PCR tests and Antibody tests required for travel or quarantine are NOT medically necessary. The only reason they might be covered in the US is due to some government mandate.

My wife (dual citizen) is supposed to be flying tonight from JFK to TLV. She filled out the health declaration and paid for a Covid test.
Does the health declaration have to be within 24 hours of departure or arrival in Israel?
There was no option to tell the testing place when she plans to come. No flight info or anything, just payment. Is that normal?

24 hours of departure.
AFAIK as long as she paid the rest doesn't really matter
