From what I've seen, it helps get out of Bidud if you're an Israeli vaccinated aboard. Doesn't help if you're not Israeli.

But in all cases it allows to receive a new tehudat mahlim once bidud is over
Even if the vaccination was more than 6 months ago?
Is there any benefit for the serological test if I'm going to do a PCR anyway on the 7th day of Bidud?
I'm going to need another PCR to get on the plane back to the US?

Doubt it

The only benefit is getting a tehudat mahlim once bidud is over.

Yes. Unless you have a tav yarok, in which case you can have a antigen test instead, (the one recognized by the US for traveling, advertized on DDMS)

what does that mean?

The question was can someone who had a positive antibody test in israel previously, get out of quarantine in 1 day now.
The answer was no, based on experience.
Seems you also need a shot.

Does every foreign citizen who arrives in Israel these days officially have to quarantine for 7 days regardless of vaccination status? Issues flying out?

I was reading on this link that if you visit Israel with a group of 5, it is considered a tour and that you would be allowed provided you jump through all their hoops, can anyone confirm if this is true?

Thanks for the detailed feedback.
Experience for Israelis and non-Israelis are very different, unfortunately.

I have Israelis and non-Israelis relative, all living and vaccinated abroad. The Israeli ones had a similar experience as yours and received a tehudat mahlim and tav yarok within 2 days.

The non Israelis arrived here 10 days ago and are still waiting for there 'exit Bidud' notification. No tav yarok despite the positive serology at the airport

Are there any data points of foreign citizens who got exempted from quarantine recently?

I landed, went for PCR then Serology in the airport. I received the serology result in 7 minutes. I received the PCR 9 hours later. I uploaded the PCR and serology results, as well as my passport, proof of 3 vaccines, then combine them all into 1 pdf, then fill out the form (Hebrew or English) and upload the pdf to:  https://govforms.gov.il/mw/forms/QuarantineExceptionExit%40health.gov.il. If you don't hear from them in 4 hours, call misrad habriut at *5400.

The question was, what is your Israeli status? Are you a citizen/permanent resident or foreigner? There have been reports that Israelis vaccinated abroad are getting exempted while foreigners aren't...
