Q. Is there anyway to get permission to fly if I'm still testing positive for Covid weeks after having it? Anyone run into this problem?

My wifes grandmother just flew out of Israel to the US w/o taking a pcr. I wasn't involved in what exactly had to happen but as far as I know they spoke many times w/ Misrad Habreiut and eventually went w/ her original PCR and a doctors note that she was no longer contagious...and were denied exit by passsport control...tried the next day...were stopped at passport control and eventuallly allowed to board.

he did a real pcr, and had results w/o passport #
lh refused to allow him to board, until he "magically" found the other copy of the results with the passport # on it

 The Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, held a discussion today (Thursday), October 21, 2021, on the 15th of Cheshvan 5772, on the issue of tourism policy and entry into Israel.

 The discussion was attended by the Minister of Health, the Minister of Tourism, the Director General of the Ministry of Health, the Director General of the Ministry of Transportation, the Director General of the Ministry of Tourism, the Corona Commissioner, the Public Health Services Director, the Transitions Commissioner  To the head of the National Security Council, the person in charge of budgets in the Ministry of Finance, the head of the Civil Airports Authority, the head of the Population and Immigration Authority and other professionals.

 * Here is the approved outline: *

 * May enter Israel as part of the outline: *

 * - * Foreigners who were vaccinated with two Pfizer vaccines, and passed 7 days or more from the second vaccine on the day they entered Israel (but not more than 180 days when they left Israel).

 * - * Foreigners who have been vaccinated with two vaccines from Moderna, Astraznica, Synovak and Sinopharm, and have passed 14 days or more from the second vaccine on the day of their entry into Israel (but not more than 180 days when leaving Israel).

 * - * Foreigners who were vaccinated with one Jansen vaccine and passed 14 days or more from the vaccine on the day they entered Israel (but not more than 180 days when they left Israel).

 * - * Strangers who were vaccinated with a Pfizer booster dose, and 7 days or more of the vaccine passed on the day they entered Israel.

 * Groups that will receive an exemption from isolation based on conduct as a capsule: *

 * - * The group's conduct in Israel as a capsule, without free time and with restrictions on walking around in places where there is an increased risk of infection.

In my opinion, this is just a ploy to get us to take the third vax because most of us who have vaccinated did it more than 6 months ago, so these new rules are useless for us
