Link to form that needs to be filled out within 48 hours of flight to Israel

Accordingly, the FINAL criteria For entering Israel are as follows - you must meet ONE of these conditions in order to enter Israel:

1. Vaccinated within 180 days of the trip with either a second vaccine or a booster and it must be at least 14 days after the shot.

2. Recovered within 180 days of the trip with DIGITAL proof of a positive PCR result and more than 11 days have passed since the positive result. This type of proof only exists in the EU. The UK will likely have it as well.

3. Recovered anytime – even more than 180 days before the trip - with DIGITAL proof of positive PCR result AND vaccinated with at least one dose within 180 days of the trip. Again at the moment the digital proof only exists in the EU and possibly the UK shortly.

Your vaccination or recovery CANNOT expire while in Israel, which means you may not be in Israel more than 180 days after your vaccine or recovery have expired.

CONSEQUENCES FOR VIOLATING THE TERMS OF ENTRY: VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE ABOVE CRITERIA CAN MEAN SANCTIONS INCLUDING BARRING YOUR ENTRY TO ISRAEL FOR 5 YEARS.

Which entry form? When he tries to fill out the decleration to get the entry form, he gets the above message
He should receive a pdf for תצהיר כניסה לישראל that says he may board the plane only if specific criteria are met

From Chaimvchesed's website:

If completed successfully and you are a foreigner, you will receive an email stating ” According to your own statement, you do not meet the requirements for arrival in Israel. You are required to file a request for an exceptional entry clearance from the Ministry of the Interior. Green Pass ineligibility” . You may disregard the text of this email. Attached to this email is a PDF, תצהיר כניסה לישראל (Approval to Board Flight) in red which specifies that you must meet the entry criteria (either a valid visa in addition to proof of vaccination/ recovery OR an entry permit).

They really make everything so simple

Now that Israel blocked their people from going to the US which airline may not be so reliable and might cancel flights out of TLV Delta or ELAL ?

The airline that has been most reliable throughout the pandemic is UA

Honestly I'm just so disheartened at the whole situation.  A friend of mine could not get permission to go to Israel to see her dying mother (even with good connections since she went twice this year) and her mother died, alone.

I was always a staunch Zionist knowing that if push comes to shove, Jews have a place of refuge, but frankly right now, I feel more secure with my American citizen status than being a Jew :(

IMO, much of the real estate in Israel is purchased by internationals.
If someone organizes a multinational protest echoing this sentiment maybe something can happen. People will no longer support Israel blindly. We did that with the cops during COVID-19 and that was a big mistake. We supported them and they turned on us.

When can one exit quarantine, or better, return home, if they visit after the new guidelines are put in place?
Traveling as a US citizen on a Student visa.

Any update if student visa holder will be allowed to re-enter from a red zone?

3 days with test if they are vaccinated/recovered according to Israeli standards (within 180 days)
7 days with test if they somehow entered as unvaccinated/not recovered
Otherwise 14 days

Most poeple kvetching that they can't visit now, is not 'push come to shove' nor are they looking for 'a place of refuge'.

Unfair and sloppy management by the government aside, Israel is our home and we will always have a place to go if truly needed.

With what we've seen in the past 2 years, how can you be so sure? Also, please define "if truly needed"
