Had there been any change in the rules for infants and children? My wife wants to visit for a few days with a one month old infant. If she's vaccinated, but the bay obviously isn't, would the baby still be in quarantine? How soon could they fly back?
Baby just needs a negative covid test to get on the plane and a test when they arrive, then the quarantine is either 24 hours or a negative test, whichever comes first.

Baby must isolate for 14 days, with the option of reducing it to 5 days with a test on the first and fifth day.

Children Under 1:  Children under 1 can come to Israel with parents who are approved for entry (ie valid 48-hour form). There is no need to complete the 48 hour form for these children. Their quarantine is 14 days, which can be reduced to  5 days with 2 PCRs (day 1 at the airport and day 5 with a lab-based rapid antigen).

Even older than 12 months?

my aa flight on Saturday night was cancelled. Any chance of getting them to put me on the el al flight? Any chance they will "un"cancel the flight? Suggestions?

We are going for a hakomas matzeivah for one of the meron victims and cant afford to leave sunday night.

Any help would be apprecaited.

Thanks

Are they canceling your return as well?
United has a flight from Newark at 11:05pm. Roundtrip would cost you $775. (one way would be $524)

Thanks - on the phone with aa they are trying to get us on elal (we are 14 adults).

Well see if that works.

We booked on points so that would be costing us more but we may have to.

I had 2 premium economy seats on aa - doubt they could get that on el al :( very annoying.

The information is incorrect. A baby under 12 months (unless they have a recovery certificate) would need to quarantine. Over 12 months would not be able to enter (if not recovered with a digital certificate).

That’s not what we got told when we came in with a baby. They got a covid test upon arriving just like everyone else. Just need a negative test or 24h, whichever comes first.

Can anyone confirm if a positive Pcr test in the us within 90 days is sufficient to travel to Israel? If so, is no test required?

No
Take a PCR test in the 72 hours before the flight to Israel or a rapid (antigen) test in the 24 hours before the flight, administered by professional samplers (no home test kits).

It should be OK, it looks similar to the emed tests that users reported worked. You will need to take the test within 24 hours of travel. you will need to take it again before returning to the US.

A positive is enough to avoid the pre-flight test, however you still need to be vaccinated to get permission to enter

https://corona.health.gov.il/en/abroad/arriving-foreign-nationals/

Take a PCR test in the 72 hours before the flight to Israel or a rapid (antigen) test in the 24 hours before the flight, administered by professional samplers (no home test kits). You are required to present an official document in English attesting to the negative result and specifying the traveler's passport number. Tests of any other type will not be accepted.

The following are exempt from the pre-flight PCR testing requirement:

Those who stayed outside Israeli territories for less than 72 hours (from the moment of landing abroad to the moment of departure to Israel).

Those who recovered from COVID-19 and will present airline officials with a positive result on a PCR test that they took less than three months prior, on the condition that at least 8 days have passed since the date of the test.

Once you get to go Israel, they don’t check any papers or documentation.
+1
They do. Maybe not every one but they definitely do check
-1
You scan your passport. It spits out a visa, which is checked several times before baggage.

I'm sorry, but I flew two weeks ago and they asked me for my vaccination papers by passport control.

No downside in asking for a special permit, but unlikely

So my mother who is an Israeli Citizen but lives in the USA travelled to Israel.    She's vaccinated 3 times and we uploaded all of that on the entry form.

She got a Green Pass thru 2/28/22, but when she landed, got an email saying she had to go into bidud for 14 days (instead of the earlier of 24 hours or negative PCR).

Any thoughts how to fix this besides calling *5400 since she can't get thru
