Starting from 30.3.2022 the cost of PCR tests for those entering Israel through Ben Gurion Airport will be updated: 79 ILS for those paying at the airport, or 63 ILS for those paying in advance through the link they received when filling out the entry statement to Israel.
For those arriving after 30.3.2022, it is recommended to wait with the payment until this date. Those who pay according to the old rate and land after the 30.3.2022 - will be automatically exonerated within 10 business days by the Pemi company.

My son is flying back TLV-LHR-JFK this week. Just to confirm, other than getting a negative Covid test the day before departure (and showing up extra early and clearing security before going to check-in), is there anything else he needs to do Covid-related or otherwise? And any recommendations for an efficient and cheap Covid testing place near Geulah/Meah Shearim?

Terem on sarei yisroel/yaffo is open 24 hours and results are fast, I recommend waiting for results to be sure, it's 50 nis

When I was in TLV the other week I was told that there are no more rapid tests at the airport.
Call Ichud Hatzalah. You can arrange for them to come to you if you are a group.
Thanks.

sorry for the brevity but i dont have time to read the posts. A relative was niftar and the family is flying tomorrow on united to TLV from ewr and Im dealing with all the logistics. What are the requirements for landing in Israel? Can they take PCR tests at the airport? They are going straight from the plane to the levaya.  And pre flight - they need PCRs and to fill out the entry form. Is there anything I'm missing? DO they need travel insurance that covers COVID?

TIA

This link has all the information you’re asking spelled out, broken down for Israeli citizens and non-citizens (you didn’t specify whether the passenger is or isn’t a citizen, if they aren’t a citizen, most of the requirements you listed likely apply)
https://corona.health.gov.il/en/abroad/arriving-foreign-nationals/

From what I’m reading, barring a few exceptions listed there, any arriving passenger (citizen or not) officially has to isolate upon arrival for 24 hours or until their test-upon-arrival result comes back.

Thanks for sending that. Literally didn't have time to even google so much appreciated. Most are dual israeli citizens.

@AsherO it seems that if you are vaccinated and boosted abroad you don't need to isolate. is that the case?

Not sure when they’re traveling but maybe Chaim Vechessed can help you navigate this. Perhaps they have connections in Israel that can help the passengers get processed quickly and efficiently.

ngl, my reading-comprehension skills are likely poorer than yours, especially when it comes to things like this.

No one is checking, and if they do you could do it on the spot.

Just landed
Left the airport within an hour from landing

Prepaying for Covid test in advance didn’t save much time
Nobody checked for health insurance
They checked for pcr prior to boarding
