Married and have a student visa. Wife has accompanying-student visa. Misrad hapnim says that's not good enough, and she needs a student visa too. Is that true, or is the rep mistaken?
She should be included in yours. Possibly you need to add her and maybe the embassy can do it.

Masa is saying that if you apply through them you can get a student visa, even for unmarried students.

This is true. The chareidi politicians are angry about that because Masa doesn't work with yeshivas in general.

A student visa doesn't equal entry permit

They are getting entry permits under Masa. Misrad Hapnim confirmed it, in addition to all the hoopla created by the chareidi MKs.

You are correct that the scholarships were curtailed, although not entirely eliminated. However, MASA is still arranging for student visas and entry permits for American students attending Yeshiva/Seminary in Israel.

So if there arranging for their students, shouldn't this solve some of the problem with student coming in since so many seminaries and yeshivas are under MASA?

IF Masa is able to give them permits, yes. (It's probably easier for MASA to give permits to a few students attending a university rather than an entire sem/yeshiva). But, yes, yeshivos and seminaries are preparing for bringing in students via MASA

IYH yes. My son's school told us to register with Masa and I did a Whatsapp Chat with them and they confirmed that they could do entry permits and student visas, that was why I posted it here yesterday.

How do seminaries plan on doing quarantine, how about if there's 1 positive case and it gets shut down for 2 weeks where are they putting all girls?
Besides the fact I'd be surprised if girls even want to come next year it's pretty clear this won't be the best winter to be in Israel

Schools are creating contingency plans for this. Leaving additional rooms open for anyone positive. And quarantining everyone else.
From the seminaries I have spoken to, they have more demand rather than less. Though that obviously could change

Until the Govt catches wind of it and starts scrutinizing the MASA applications/shuts the MASA loophole down.
