Is there anyone in the government who is talking about the economic destruction?
Yeah, that's why the country isn't shut down despite record numbers of cases

Mir asked all American/European Talmidim if they are interested to return to Israel under current regulations. Less than 10% were interested so they are thinking of opening a Yeshiva in the US for Americans and either in the UK or Switzerland for Europeans. Some of the current Ramim in Mir may relocate in order to continue teaching in the Mir.

Israel has 300 patients in serious condition. It dropped yesterday to under 300 bh.
I'm not sure where you get your info from, but according to the MOH, it hasn't been below 300 since July 23, and is rising

And the system collapses at 600-900, so the current trajectory isn’t sustainable.
Hadassa & Shaari Tzedek already stopped accepting Covid patients, so people from Jlem are now being transported to Tel Aviv hospitals

Why does the health ministry keep just saying this? How have they not already built more capacity? Why just wait for it to happen?

I guess the logic is that it's impossible to keep on building as the numbers surge and inevitably will need to lockdown to bring the numbers down, so may as well do it earlier rather than later. The earlier the lockdown comes, the shorter and more effective it can be.

My guess is Netanyahu is allowing chaos until Gantz caves on the one-year budget (which gives Bibbi an exit point to cancel the rotation and call elections in another year), then Israel will lockdown and bring the numbers back down. In the meantime he is priming public opinion by forming expert panels

This bothers me too, but one answer might be that it takes time to train more doctors and nurses - you may be able to quickly convert any building to hospital beds, but you need to staff it.
The only way to get more staff quickly is to transfer from other duties - nurses in kupot cholim, psyc wards, schools - but even this is limited (have you ever been to a mirpa: nurses are only there till 9 or 10 am) and would still require some sort of retraining - plus I would guess that Israeli union rules would make it difficult to do anyway.

Why is it more of a problem then what's been going on from after Pesach? The article makes it seems as if it's a new problem not a continuing one.

Does anyone know how the quarantine works in Israel now?
How do you know when you can go out?
If you arrive 5pm do they count that as 1 day? Or 14 days means 24 hours?
Are they coming to see you? Call you?

Can anyone recommend a house with a pool for quarantine?
Tia

My understanding is that it's 14*24 hours
They come to see you
But that the entire ministry is in complete disarray, so who knows.

House with a pool will be very very expensive now. Good luck finding something nice

This sounds like a Meseches Niddah question about Me'es L'Es or M'Pekidah L'Pekidah.

It kind of is. After Pesach they were just finishing the year so too finish a year not such a problem. Now you have whole new group of girls and guys that don't know what to do since they were planning on going to Israel....

Does anybody know if it's possible to travel to Israel to visit a dr there (with a dr's note recommending them to travel)
Also is it possible for a couple to fly to for the husband to learn in Yeshiva there for the 1st time? or they are only working now with single Bucharim and dormitories?
