Finally antibody tests officially recognized.

So now no need to re-expose yourself?

We were told in advance that it would be done at the airport (for a charge). However, as I said, DW walked up to the immigration agent, handed her passport was asked where she was coming from, to which she responded Brooklyn, NY, was asked which flight she's coming off, to which she gave the DL flight information, was asked for the boarding authorization, and was let in. When DW asked about quarantine, she was told she didn't need to. I really don't know what happened, was this some kind of an error, was it based on info previously provided, but she was definitely not sent to quarantine!
Did she provide antibody test documentation?

They didn't ask for it. She had it ready.

Unofficially.

Based on the official rules they will want to do their own antibody test. Can't take a risk of it coming too low.

Dont be so afraid of officially needing to be in quarantine.

I came back recently from israel the quarantine in NYC is more strict then israel

NYC called me every day to ask if im quarantined. ..just asked but they did something

in israel nobody called nobody came to check. you don't even need to write a building number where you go. Nothing

Someone I know returned to EY before RH. I asked him what he is going to do about quarantine. He told me my phone will quarantine.

What if someone has no Israeli phone.

I know of people who were visited to confirm quarantine.

DW is lucky to have been expressly told that she doesn't need to quarantine. Ignorance is bliss. All of this is especially true given the places she is visiting. She is doing so without fear knowing that she isn't infecting anyone. The quarantine would have been a formality, and a pure nuisance (at best).

So Israel will do antibody tests to confirm? Where will that be done?

They list a few places you can get the test.

Did they give that in writing that she doesn't need to quarantine? I would imagine someone getting busted breaking quarantine and saying "but the officer at the airport told me I don't need to quarantine" without any proof isn't going to fly.

In Israel is usually works the other way. The immigration officer doesn't allow people in before they register on MoH website as being subject to quarantine.

I was under the impression you fill out the quarantine form before you leave and everyone coming from a red country is subject to quarantine till they get their negative test. (I have a relative going who has a positive antibody test with a negative covid test and am trying to understand the process).

Somewhat related to this thread, possibly more so to "would you fly now" or "when will air travel resume" threads, but I'm not up to searching for them now, and I'm no @TimT

The Israeli government announced today that  the Health Ministry list of people in quarantine will be synced with the border control to stop anybody in quarantine from leaving Israel.

I would be surprised if it works as advertised. I bet the border officers would need to cross reference the quarantine list manually

Does anyone know if this is only for Israeli citizens  or will include those entering the country?
