So pretty clear they are extending the closure other than for these flights.

What happens to people who are currently booked on those flights, the airline will cancel? Ask if you have an ishur?

Apparently, as of now they are accepting foreign tests along with an Israeli antibody test.

https://www.gov.il/he/Departments/Guides/flying-to-israel-guidlines?chapterIndex=5

Not wanting to risk coming back with a low antibody test, I made an appointment for vaccine 1st dose. I guess I will be able to report back how that works for someone who already has antibodies (albeit on the low end as of now).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I'm not sure this is the same question as what was asked above, but what happens if you are already booked on a Delta 11:55 PM flight and that flight becomes a "rescue flight" ?

@shmooz @NTorch You guys aren't following. They aren't re-opening the airport. They are adding flights to allow up to 2000 entries a day. Buying a ticket on the flight doesn't get you into Israel, you have to be eligible under whatever the guidelines are at the time, or get special permission from a special committee called Vaadat Charigim.

So the flight is just a means to facilitate the increased entry quota, and you'd obviously need a seat on one of these flights (or enter some other way) to get in. But being ticketed on one of these flights on its own doesn't qualify you.

Got it, but what will the airlines do with previously ticketed passengers? Cancel so they can sell the seats to others? Wait till pax cancel? Call and ask if they have an an ishur?

Hi @AsherO   - I don't think you are understanding my question. The 11:55 PM Delta flights referenced in @tavster post above are flights from Israel to the US. The 11:55 PM flight was the regular non-stop TLV-JFK flight pre-closure. My question is if you are already booked on that flight for a date after 2/20, will you need to do anything else to keep the seat on the flight to the US.

Ooops, sorry. Is it clear yet whether or which flights out of Israel will continue as scheduled to carry passengers? Both flights mentioned in this tweet

Are to Israel.

Like everything. Closed is a relative term.

I understand that it’s likely to be extended, but am I correct that as of now the quarantine hotels on arrival expire on Feb 21 at 07:00?

Here is the latest announcement I managed to find https://t.me/MOHreport/7543
