Leaving Israel
« Reply #1200 on: February 18, 2021, 05:40:59 AM »
I live in Israel and I am a US citizen on a student visa. My wife and 2 childred are both dual citizens. We have a wedding in the beginning of March. The way things look the airport won't be open for us to come back. Does anyone have any advice as to what we can fill out and say so that they will allow us to travel back?

My mother is booked on DL from JFK-TLV on 2/28. According to next week’s schedule on DDMS, is seems that Sunday is UAs slot. Can I assume the flight will get cancelled and look into other options?

I recall seeing somewhat that DL is daily. UA is 3x per week.

I understand that it’s likely to be extended, but am I correct that as of now the quarantine hotels on arrival expire on Feb 21 at 07:00?

Here is the latest announcement I managed to find https://t.me/MOHreport/7543
It's now been extended to March 1st

Thanks. Wonder if you can read into them extending it by less than the 14 days they could.

Ha. I have a tentative ticket for March 7. Not going into a quarantine hotel if I can't chose which.

Anyone know how to see which Delta flights will actually be flying between now and March 7?

A link or a copy of the schedule would be helpful.

Same question here.
United and Delta are selling flights for every day between now-3/7.
I have a backup elal ticket I’d have to cancel by tonight to get refunded.

On Thursday night, February 18, the Israeli cabinet approved the extension of the ban on entry and exit to and from Israel. The ban will now remain in place for an additional 14 days, through March 6.

Certain leniencies are expected to be introduced in the coming days. The government has already announced that 2000 passengers will be permitted to enter Israel each day. It remains to be seen how this policy will be carried out.

Most are being exempted from hotels for urgent humanitarian needs, by being immune, or outside hotel criteria (70+). I think around 15% are ending up in hotels.

People who'd need to be in a hotel aren't coming

as long as you booked a delta or united ticket [not air france points for example] then you should be able to get them to move you to the closest date they are actually flying for no additional charge
