Accordingly, the FINAL criteria For entering Israel are as follows - you must meet ONE of these conditions in order to enter Israel:

1. Vaccinated within 180 days of the trip with either a second vaccine or a booster and it must be at least 14 days after the shot.

2. Recovered within 180 days of the trip with DIGITAL proof of a positive PCR result and more than 11 days have passed since the positive result. This type of proof only exists in the EU. The UK will likely have it as well.

3. Recovered anytime – even more than 180 days before the trip - with DIGITAL proof of positive PCR result AND vaccinated with at least one dose within 180 days of the trip. Again at the moment the digital proof only exists in the EU and possibly the UK shortly.

Your vaccination or recovery CANNOT expire while in Israel, which means you may not be in Israel more than 180 days after your vaccine or recovery have expired.

CONSEQUENCES FOR VIOLATING THE TERMS OF ENTRY: VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE ABOVE CRITERIA CAN MEAN SANCTIONS INCLUDING BARRING YOUR ENTRY TO ISRAEL FOR 5 YEARS.

So for a 9am Sunday flight the test can be taken on Thurs, Fri or Sat?
Yep.

Quote
Why does the Order specify 3 days rather than 72 hours? What is considered 3 days?
The 3-day period is the 3 days before the flight’s departure. The Order uses a 3-day timeframe instead of 72 hours to provide more flexibility to the traveler. By using a 3-day window, test validity does not depend on the time of the flight or the time of day that the test was administered.

For example, if a passenger’s flight is at 1pm on a Friday, the passenger could board with a negative test that was taken any time on the prior Tuesday or after.

basically that means i will be denied boarding w/o a negative test, even though i have a teudat machlim?

sorry for sounding stupid, i just wanna be 100% sure.

IME, showing a negative PCR test involved showing it on my phone. I don't see what would stop anyone from editing a test received so that it's accepted.

A PCR test by check2fly.co.il costs about ILS 45 they say results in 14 hours. I took test at 1:45pm and got results around 8:47pm.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Maybe @Dan means in practice airlines aren't accepting this
if the usa allows entry how can the airline deny boarding?

Book a refundable seat on the TLV-EWR flight and cancel as you're calling UA to get rebooked once SFO is cancelled.
after the tlv-sfo is cancelled, will they rebook me tlv-ewr on a higher class if that is all thats available?

You need an English language positive test result from within 3 months and a Doctor's letter in English saying that you are clear to fly.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Have there been any final decisions on which flights will be allowed to fly TLV->NYC next week? Can we assume yet that if it wasn't cancelled yet, it will fly? My son is scheduled on a United flight next week.

All the United flights next week are packed full. Why are they using 787 and not 777?

LY pilot project on Monday - LY3 to JFK for vaccinated or recovered only - anyone else (who has received vaad harigim's approval) will have to have an antigen test at the airport (on top of the negative PCR which everyone must provide)

If they determine this is safe, why not open up the entire country using this method?

They likely will, at some point, imho
