Tests were taken a little after 5 PM on Friday and results were received on Shabbos morning at 10:55
6 negative Covid tests, 6 negative antibody tests (despite me having gotten the vaccine and my wife having tested positive!!)
Went tonight to a heimish matzav in woodmere, testing out if a house. They said we would have results by tomorrow
Got my results already!

All Students to be Allowed to Enter Israel
Posted April 5, 2021 10:44 AM

For the past few months, Israel has been stringently limiting the entry of foreigners. Due to these restrictions, students have been barred from entering the country, even if they have already commenced studies in the country. For this reason, many students, wisely, refrained from travel during the Pesach season, due the the real fear of being prevented from returning to Israel.

Over the past several weeks, various parties, led by the indefatigable Rabbi Nechamya Malinowitz of the Igud have labored ceaselessly to obtain permission for students’ return. After intensive efforts, these efforts have now borne fruit.

Today, it can be announced that all students will be permitted to enter Israel. This includes families, married couples, and single students. (It should be noted that single students had been barred from entering the country since the end of December.)

More significantly, even new students will now be granted entry permits to enter the country to study.

Lastly, entry will not be limited to recovered/vaccinated patients. Those without Israeli certificates of recovery/vaccination will be required to quarantine upon entering the country. This can be alleviated if proven to have antibodies by a test taken in an approved laboratory.

Application for entry permits must be done via your institution.

IMHO the chances that unvaccinated kids traveling from abroad wonder around the country freely without quarantine are low - but by then lots can change
Even if the kids have antibodies?

Most importantly,
Quote
7. סטודנטים, משתתפי מס"ע ותלמידי ישיבה – לא תותר כניסתם עד לתאריך 27.3.2021
, which makes it look like students will be allowed to renter after Pesach.

Updated to say students won't be allowed in before April 5

A two week closure of TLV ended up being 6 weeks. Dates are just given to as a deadline to pass the law again.
Chaim CVchessed writes that it will likely be extended....
These didn't age well.

Nice! Went to Chemed tonight but not sure it'll be back in time.
Just got results from Chemed. I did ask them to rush and they said they'd try. Got nervous and went the heimish route as well. Those results were in around 2 hours ago.

My earlier confidence was clearly overblown

And thus was born two excellent Platinum Guy memes, each to be used as needed in any thread of DDF  ;D  :P
