Apply through your brother's local consulate with the documents required (your birth certificate, his birth certificate, his marriage license). Yes, his wife can come along.
(only issue may be whether apostille is required - (SHOCKER ALERT) seems to depend on who is reviewing the application)

If your son ever comes to learn in Israel as a student make sure he doesn't write your name as his father on the visa application. They will force him to accept citizenship unless they are really spaced out that day.

Yup. My kids knew to use other names.

If you have Israeli ishur machlim you might be able to get a green pass now.

Showing that to Misrad Hapnim is not a good idea unless you want them to force you to accept Israeli citizenship.
Being born in Israel dosent make you an israeli citizen

i'm an Israeli citizen looking to fly to Israel for a few days and then come back. I took the Labcorp spike test that @Dan recommended and i am awaiting results. FYI, you can get the test without a perscription, but it costs an extra $10. Labcorp does not require insurance (Uncle sam covers the test) .

I was wondering if anyone had any concrete information on how long the turn around is, from the time you get tested for antibodies (when you land), until you are granted a release from the ministry of health? I understand the two step processes laid out here.

https://chaimvchessed.com/current-requirements-for-entering-israel/

Also, does anyone know how strict they have been about enforcing quarantine?

It may be that your biggest risk is not passing the threshold on the antibody test in Israel for whatever reason and needing to leave.  They are threatening entry bans for anyone who breaks quarantine to leave the country, though I don't know how they could enforce such a think against a citizen.

Try tell that to Misrad Hapnim. If you don't explicitly ask for the child not to be Israeli it's automatic I believe. Regardless of place of birth, any child of an Israeli citizen is automatically Israeli and although it's not legal for them to force you to accept it, the process is to deny student visa, or deny exit from the country, untill the citizenship is realized.

Thank you. I am definitely considering this risk and i am waiting back to see what my antibody count is before deciding how risky that is. Do you happen to know Israel's threshold currently?

I would guess put an Israeli landline number. They won't send sms to a landline. You'll get the email.

Or get a friend's Israeli mobile number.

Does anyone know if Israel requires a specific amount of time between the two doses?

Also, what is recognized by Israel as proof of vaccination in the US?

As of now they don't recognize any vaccinations outside of Israel. You will need to quarantine until you get results back from the antibody test given in Israel.

My understanding is that they are still asking to provide proof of vaccination in certain cases (in order to get the permit). What is acceptable proof?

When I was born it was not automatic. As both my parents where Americans I was not given citizenship. When my son was born I needed to decline the offer to make him a citizen. Unlike American policy it goes after the parents. So if a parent is Israeli the kids will be considered citizens, unless it is renounced.
