At the present time the Ichud and Chaim V'Chessed are advising to only fly Elal if you wish to use this new rules, as they are the only airline fully aware of the new rule.

I haven't seen that either other than re London.

So just clarify an American 12 year old boy cannot fly to Israel for a week for his bar mitzva visit because he cannot take the vaccine currently?

I guess no clarity yet on whether high antibody count is sufficient for proof of recovery?

It's not.
It depends on which consulate. Or who's approving the application even at the same consulate. I just had a whole family get approved without a single one showing a positive/negative PCR test. Everyone has antibodies and the adults had antibodies, but also took the vaccine. They got an isshur yesterday.

So it's definitely worth a try if everything else is in order. But YMMV.

Just landed today. This was the fastest we have gotten through the airport ever. We landed 9:50 this AM and drove out of the airport to Asaf Harofeh Hospital (for our 150 shekel each serology tests) at 11:15 AM.

Can you pls provide details for the test and pricing at Asaf Harofeh? did you have to make an appointment? Is 150 shekel the going price for everyone? how quickly did you get the response?

How is that any proof of antibody alone is sufficient if they had the vaccine as well?
we need a dp that antibody alone was sufficient.

And now I read that there are violent protests outside the Israeli consulates in both NYC and DC.  That'll help expedite our applications

If so many flights really end up being cancelled, there will probably be a corresponding drop in passenger interest to fly and seats will open up.

The current flights are sold out because the airlines that cancelled their flights rush to rebook their passengers, then open up when people cancel their tickets.

No, but I've heard that approvals have basically stopped from consulates and that it's nigh impossible to get into the misrad hapnim

I just had my mother in Israel send in the file. Let's see.  Now NY, Washington and they have my file.  Hopefully something will pan out.

MY ISHUR CAME!!!!

I emailed NY consulate last week and didn't hear back.  I emailed the Washington Consulate on Monday and it just came!! BH.  I'm so relieved.

I want to thank everyone for all your tips and help.  I wouldn't have thought of the Washington Consulate without my fellow readers.

I live in NYC. Last Thursday I emailed the NY consulate and got the automatic reply. Then Dan had an article and so many comments said they have to cancel their tickets because their permission didn’t come. So I panicked and as per other comments I tried my luck with the Washington consulate on Monday. I didn’t get an auto answer but today the permission email came (so 3 days). Based on my experience I recommend trying Washington
