My brother has a flight landing on the 24th.
The incoming statement has that date.
But the green pass effective date or "תאריך כניסה לתוקף" is the 25th.

Is that a problem?!
Makes sense, it starts 24 hours after arrival into Israel.

Since there is (officially) a 24 hour quarantine, the validity of the Green Pass starts 24 hours after you arrive. As I understand, this is how they come and will have no impact on boarding your flight. All it does is prevent you from entering somewhere in Israel where you need a Green Pass until you are out of quarantine.

Possibly yes. But it's not under the official COVID-19 waiver.

My passport is expiring in 5 months from when I travel in 2 weeks. Will I be fine ?

Into the US - no issue.

Into another country - depends on the country and airline.

Thanks, I thought of that, my wife is a doctor, so it wouldn't be hard to get an Rx for it. But will Israel even accept a booster shot that's not currently medically approved for minors? And even with an Rx, will a US pharmacy give a booster to a minor?

Why can't you just bring your kid into a pharmacy and not tell them he is already vaccinated?  I'm pretty sure Israel will accept even if not currently medically approved for minor.

https://www.jpost.com/breaking-news/travelers-to-israel-may-now-get-covid-antibody-test-abroad-corona-cabinet-686912

Travelers to Israel may now get COVID antibody test abroad - Corona Cabinet
"Incoming travelers are now able to get a COVID-19 antibody test in a foreign country and no longer require a PCR test, according to a new decision by the Coronavirus Cabinet, Ynet reported.
Whereas previously, travelers were required to undergo an antibody test in Israel, the test can now be done abroad.
The test must be done up to 24 hours before the flight, and an additional test is required upon arrival in Israel, Ynet added."

Seem to be instead of a PCR test before flight, but you will still take one when you land.
Ynet says the rules come into effect friday- but lets wait and see...

The Ynet hebrew site suggests its an "antigen test" and NOT a antibody test...  which is what was previously announced and now confirmed.
I would wait and see what the final outcome is- but i believe it was the the previously announced antigen test.

IIRC, it was always okay for an American to return on on a Antigen test.

Not what it says in the rules.

Did anyone here actually return using an antigen?
