Has anyone tried importing eMed tests into Israel?
Seems like a potential gold mine if you can get them through.
You can buy antigen tests over the counter in Israel now (Or Supersal online) and use a service like https://quick.md to issue the certificate.

Did anybody hear anything about being able to enter Israel with tickets to Miss Universe?

You ever tried that?
Not that vendor specifically, but I use free tests from the UK and have a practitioner who supervises me personally for around $50. I'm in Jlem and happy to meet up later in the week.

That's fine until you need to fly back home. I want to fly home after 4 days, they want let me exit the country while in Biddud. Do I need to do anything else besides taking a PCR on day 1 & 3?

if when u entered, u entered as fully vaxed according to israeli definition, then u can test on day 3 and leave on day 4.
as to the day 3 test, im not sure they enforce it yet, but either way u need a test to leave to the usa

What they are selling now can expire in 7 weeks so you'd need to take that into account.

I used Hatzalah in Jerusalem Last week. 49 NIS for rapid. Make sure you tell them that the test results must be in English.

"Health Ministry Nachman Ash says that he does not believe the new travel restrictions instituted in the wake of the Omicron COVID variant should be lifted just yet.

“There isn’t enough information yet to change the restrictions,” Ash tells Channel 12 news. “We still don’t know if this variant will stand up to the vaccines.”"

they might just hold out until the 2 weeks runs its course and then lift.
I think there were alot of chatter of it being removed early.

But the health/science table has been pretty adamant that things will not change quickly as they said so last Tuesday.

"But when Balicer tried to define, during a press briefing on Tuesday, what bar authorities are setting for the reopening of borders to tourists, he suggested it would be a high one.

Well Chanuka is over now, so should be good to go.
Let's be a bit conservative ahead of Purim  ;)

We should give the CDC a Jewish Calendar. They can get a heads up on all upcoming "Variants" that all seem to occur in Israel around Jewish holidays.

JERUSALEM: Israel will reportedly not extend its 2-week ban on foreigners entering which is to end Sunday and might cut it short if current trends continue.
