not accurate, my wife and tested negative at Asisa before boarding out Elal flight a few weeks ago, we both took the required pcr test at Ben gurion,
When we arrived home 4 days later I opened my email to find out the my wife had tested positive with the test done at the airport.
We were able to leave, nobody on that flight received any notification of having to quarantine, we had more family members on this flight.

Insurance Now Required of Tourists Visiting Israel

Since March 1, tourists have been permitted to enter Israel, regardless of vaccination or recovery status.

Beginning today, March 9, Israel’s Health Ministry has added a new requirement for tourists entering the country. They must hold an insurance policy which explicitly covers Covid in Israel. This can be a letter from an insurance provider stating that one’s policy covers Covid, even when traveling abroad, or a travelers’ insurance policy which specifically states that it covers Covid. Those who hold Kupat Cholim coverage may bring their card with them.

Holders of A class visas are exempt from this requirement.

It is not yet clear if, how or at which point of travel this requirement will be enforced.

The Knesset’s Health Committee voted Wednesday morning to approval plans to drop a number of restrictions imposed during the COVID pandemic.

Effective this Friday, nearly all remaining quarantine mandates will be ended, including for all returning travelers entering the country, including the unvaccinated.

The sole case where quarantine will still be required is if an unvaccinated person is living with someone found to be carrying the virus.

Mass testing of school children – the “Test and Learn” program which required students to be tested by their parents twice a week before coming to school – will also be scrapped.

However, the committee also voted to extend the indoor mask mandate until the end of the month.

The government has not indicated whether it will allow the mask mandate to expire at the end of this month, or continue to extend it into the spring.

Last month, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announced that Israel would begin dropping COVID restrictions, gradually lifting the emergency measures.

It was reported that the indoor mask mandate would not dropped in the initial wave of changes to COVID policy.

Regarding the facts. The whole flight does NOT need to quarantine. Even the person itself can exit Israel within the 5 days. I know someone who tested positive when arriving a few weeks ago, he Exited Israel 3 days later with no problems. He had a Negative PCR test done in Israel

To no one in particular - if you wouldn't knowingly expose your 95 year old grandmother to a cold, or other contagious disease, that should be enough reason to not expose elderly or compromised people to covid.
The איינגערעט people are the ones who think that there is absolutely no issue with exposing others to something that will make them feel unwell.

I disagree. Just look at the daily death rate.

That being said, most everyone is recovered or vaccinated, but that doesn't help the immunocompromised or elderly, so have a little respect and stay home if you're confirmed positive.

a customer who needs to fly in a few hours came back positive. any risk if he gets tested negative at adobe?

To all those who got angry from this post, they never actually wanted to do that, they were so freaked out finding out they cant go just a couple of hours before the flight, & before everything I first asked here on the risks fact, but they would not do it, especially knowing that they cause the whole plane into quarantine.

I arrived in Israel yesterday and they never asked me for my insurance information

I arrived Friday morning at 4am and no one in Israel asked to see anything other than my passport. Virgin Atlantic checked my CDC Vaccine card and my negative COVID test. I needed to get an initial border control admission card, just showed my passport after the machine told me to see a person. Then while i was on line for the next border check, a really long line for foreigners, some man came up two me and asked me for my passport and started grilling me. He even asked me if I was Baal Teshuva. I’m not. But, after his questions he told me to just go pass and I didn’t have to talk to anyone in the booth. I got my bag, took my cornona test and went to yerushalayim and got my negative test around 2:30. It seems i wasted $15 on insurance I didnt need.
