To those of you who are used to go and can't now or that never go and manage regardless please share your tips for making the best out of the situation, kids, meals, help, nurses etc.
Mazel tov and hatzlacha!
It's definitely a challenge, and there isn't much to do about it. The husband and older kids (if there are any) really need to step up to the plate as much as possible. If you can afford it, buying out meals helps, and if not, simple is the name of the game. It's helpful if you can have stuff prepped and frozen beforehand.
Also - when you're in any situation, Hashem gives you the strength to deal with it. Many new mothers are pushing through with less help than usual and managing somehow.
I feel particularly equipped to speak about this as we BH had a baby two weeks before Pesach. We didn't have the family help we would usually get, friends or families sending meals (got two meals sent actually but usually it would have been more), no cleaning help, and Pesach was coming too. With siyata dishmaya we managed anyway, I can't tell you it was easy, or the way we would have chosen...
