You keep asking the same questions which I answered above. You just don't like the answers.
You're certainly entitled to that opinion, which is shared by zero experts in the field, even in red states.

I'm not talking specifically about NJ/NY as I have not been following that closely. But to argue that we should go from 0 to 100 demonstrates a lack of respect for a deadly pandemic that we don't yet understand. By moving slowly we can course correct with fewer consequences if needed.
I'm not saying 0 to 100, I'm saying we'll be at 50 in a month from now and we'll be staying there for a while, what are we gaining by taking it slow? If we were still on the down side of the first wave I would understand that we need to be extremely cautious to make sure we continue going down, but at this point we're already at the bottom. This is more relevant to NY/NJ that are past the first wave.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Appeal to authority I'm not saying no restrictions, I'm saying how does having restrictions today that will be lifted in 2 weeks from now solve the issue? What do we gain by keeping said restrictions in place for another 2 weeks?
They seem to be of the belief that after 2 weeks of data we will start to see certain indicators that would warn us if we are moving too fast or doing something foolhardy. I agree that 2 weeks is probably too little for each phase, and they are also not being smart about what is or isn’t being allowed and when.

But when it doesn't start changing after 2 weeks, they say in no it really takes 5-6 weeks.

All of my grandparents quarantined from before Purim. They are all locked in.

They all checked for anti-bodies and ALL of them have high levels of it. Which means they had the virus without symptoms and successfully fought it.

Also, one of them has a serious history with multiple heart surgeries and more. When he told his doctor that he has so much antibodies, his doctor refused to believe and told him to test again by a different lab. And yes, after testing again he got the same results.

How does that help us decide when to reopen? Though you should take my poll :)

Don't see what that has to do with this thread, but good DP for an antibody thread.

So far so good with Georgia. Despite the data snafu which erroneously appeared to show numbers declining, preliminary data is still basically showing a plateau and is certainly not showing any huge spike 3 weeks since the April 24th reopening. It’s really still too early to call it either way due to the incubation period and lag in testing and reporting but it’s getting closer to coming into range....

They’re hoping to prevent it from happening. I think this is the disconnect- you are firmly convinced that there will be a second wave, as large as the first, and it’s all about healthcare capacity. Most people are of the belief that by being smart and cautious we can preempt a second wave from occurring. A small bump, sure, but not a drastic wave like the one that has swept over us. Testing, restrictions, and data should be guiding the decision making.

You have my agreement on Murphy and Cuomo doing a poor job of leading the reopening. But I don’t think reopening everything to capacity at once makes sense. Only Sweden seems to disagree, but even they do have plenty of restrictions in place, pretty high immunity, and vulnerable people mostly locked down.

Thanks. Source? I want to see the trajectory.
Also, I wonder if we can see it by county/area.

NY - Cuomo press conference
NJ - Murphy Twitter

I don’t believe that deaths are posted anywhere by region.

NY posts death by region here: https://forward.ny.gov/regional-monitoring-dashboard

It's not daily, it's a 3 day rolling average (meaning the average of the past 3 days) but still useful
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

It's much better this way, it helps even out the swings especially delays in reporting.

What about the reports that the urban centers were not really open? Is that still true in Georgia and Florida?

FL is slowly opening the tri-county area this week.
Failing at maintaining Lurker status.
