Verizon auto pay discount
« on: May 10, 2020, 06:33:10 PM »
Would anyone know if linking my bank account to Verizon but paying with my credit card in advance towards my account still triger the auto pay discount?

In other words i would like to know if there is any work around to get the auto pay discount with  paying with my ink so I can be covered with cell phone insurance.

Would adding my bank but making sure that my account always have credit in advance thru ink

rep once told me no, its only if u actually pay the bill with bank account. I would imagine though that u can pay most of the balance with ur credit card before the autopay triggers

Do you pay the entire bill with CC in advance? Or leave part of it to bank account ?

Also am I still covered for cell phone protection that way ?

Why not set up auto pay with the cc? I think that will give you the discount.

Not IME
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

How about the insurance? Would the ink still cover if I just put a $200 charge then part of it goes to cover the bill ?

I have a bill open that is due in 10 days.
I just finished setting up auto pay with bank account that is scheduled to be charged on the due date.

Can I still set up this month to pay with a cc the full amount and get auto pay discount ?
Or I would have to pay this month's and next month's balance and only get the auto pay discount next month ?

I’ve been on the auto pay for over 2 years, and every month pay by CC. [5 UR points worth more than discount]. It’s a hit or miss, some months they clawback the discount some they don’t.
My theory, unverified, is how close to due date the payment processes

So how do I do it? I just set my auto pay, and I pay as a one time payment my updated bill ?

Let's say my bill is $100 but with auto pay its $90
So I just make a 1 time payment now of $100 ?
How exactly would the $10 discount come back to my account ?.

I have had a negative balance for about a year now due to the Amex offers i stocked up on last year. I got an auto pay discount every month. Before then, I would pay with a credit card before bill was due and still get an auto pay discount.
Just try and see what happens.

That's my question when used to swipe to pay with a CC , when did you say the discount? Right away by making the payment? Cuz I have auto pay set up now but when I manually try to pay with cc no discount is showing up.
