Basically the only ones that DO need internet is HP-E series. they need to be connected continuously. If they are disconnected, you cannot print. At all.

The printer is a HP. Not sure what series it is off hand.
It's connected to the computer with a wire. And myself or someone else connects the printer via mobile hotspot. And then it works for around 1 month, or so.. All the meanwhile having a ton of pop ups on the printer screen saying lost connection... Randomly it just stops working and even making a simple copy doesn't work... It's a shared office with a computer (no internet on it) and if someone doesn't have any means of connecting the printer to internet, it gets annoying. So was wondering if there is any way....

I guess we'll have to manage like this...

That is an Hp+ only printer. It officially can only work with an internet connection.

When I was on Amazon buying toner not too long ago, I noticed they had a knockoff brand toner that included a tool to take off the old chip and put it on the new knockoff one. But didn't bother for a few reasons- it was only like $15 cheaper and for that price I'm not interested in getting those coming alerts that my toner is running low, besides, I don't Even know if it's comparable...

My HP office printer just died after 7 years. Great use out of it. But the fake ink always had issues. I said enough is enough with HP and their garbage and bought a Brother. We will see how good it it is...

not really. The fake stuff usually works fine in other printers. HP just disables the printer if it detects that you are using fake ink.

Fake tonor comes with chips. Ink and tonor works great. No issues.  Brothers machines work great witj knockoffs.   Machines I have are fairly new. Get a brother machine if your are having such issues.

The office bought this printer just a year ago. Too early to get a new one. Oh well.

For black and white brother laser printers is the best for 3rd part ink (which is super cheap on amazon).

For color, Im using HP with HP instant 9 month free trial subscription.
