What do you mean? Do I understand correctly, you're implying it wouldn't be that big a deal?
To qualify for that amount under the current bill one would need to have 7 children under the age of 17. How can you compare when this would create that many more funds to reach families in need?
6000/1200=5 people, or 2 adults + 3 children

5 includes 2 parents and 3 children
or 4 parents and 1 child

We need to get this passed then work on a infrastructure bill. 5T should work for that.

Ya, so what your saying is most people netted that amount under the current bill anyhow, correct? I'm inclined to think not.

some believe having children is bad, like china
some believe its good
but Child tax credit seems to believe that its a good idea so why is it capped?

probably because the law maker that passed the bill had three children

Oh boy. I must be confused. As I understood it, under the current bill the payout is $1200 per parent, plus $500 each add'l child under 17 yrs. So, in order to have reached the max amount in the proposed bill, it would have been 2 adults ($2400) plus 7 children ($500 x 7), no?

@SwellCindy is comparing the cap on the new stimulus, to the amounts on the original.

So under the new bill, for less people, you get much more money (even though itís capped).
Under the original, in order to meet the new cap, youíd need a lot more kids.

Why comparing that way? To confuse everyone? Dunno ???

Need a source for this because in my family then can't wait to get back to work.
I'm glad your family has their head screwed on straight. Can't say the same for all those that don't want to go back to work, when they are earning much more by sitting at home with their families.

$1200 per child for proposed bill, yes. CARES act signed into law on March 27, '20 was $500 per child, no?

I agree with you that they shouldn't starve, but you can't compare the actively having children and passively being low income.

Don't you know, there's a great program sponsored by the tax payers called "Planned parenthood".
