I try to eat garlic every morning
My in-laws made a BBQ tonight for Lag Baomer, I told my wife she can go but I don't feel it's appropriate to do gatherings when shuls are closed (besides all the health reasons, etc.). She ended up staying home. (How much it will cost me in the long-run? )
Most shuls in BP are open
I don't think it will cost you anything. On the other hand, if Corona wasn't around and you chose not to go because you don't get along with her parents... that would be a different story.
Not good. People have lost hope that the government will rescind orders anytime soon, so they're taking matters into their own hands. For example:https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2020-05-08/coronavirus-traffic-uptick-los-angeles-freeways-congestion-busier-heavier
It's not just that orders aren't being rescinded it's that there is no plan being communicated to us. People are realizing that the government has no real ideas about this and they are starting to use their own judgment. I can see the frum communities approaching the govt with their own local opening up plans rather than waiting for it to trickle down.
I don't get this at all. Were people only practicing social distancing because the government told them to do it?
People were practicing social distancing because the death list was staggering. Now that its calmed down, people think its already over. My uncle is making chasuna after shavous and he seems to think it will be a regular pre-corona wedding....
