How much milk do you have in your fridge?

Between CY mozzarella and muenster at Costco for less than $5/lb, that takes care of most of our cheese needs. Just need them to start carrying milk.
I'd be surprised if CS cheese exists for much less than that.

Cheese is complex halachically. While some authorities permit drinking chalov stam (and using it to make cheese), NO authorities (to my knowledge) allow gevinas akum. A Jew MUST be present during the cheese-making process.

Even non-cholav-Yisroel cheeses must be made under the supervision of a Jew in order to be certified Kosher. There are a number of brands that make cheese with non-cholav-Yisroel milk, as it is substantially cheaper. But they all are Gevinas Yisroel.

I'm not a rabbi but this is my understanding of the situation.

Yes, I lost confidence in expiration dates on milk when we lived in Brooklyn, milk would go bad close to a week before the date, since we moved to NJ and started using POTF I would drink it without smelling up to a week past the expiration date

I've had Devash recently and I've been pleasantly surprised. I definitely go for POTF first, but I would take Devash as well.

Haven't been in years either, but considering that Instacart typically has a 15-20% markup (other than 0% at Heinens), I'd assume that to be the case.
I think POTF 1/2 gallon is about $3.40 at Boris and would assume Dave's would be around there? Though Ungers is much cheaper than Boris for yogurt.

While it may be a bit sweeter and smoother then most it's not worth the $2-3 more over klein's or abe's. With some flavors I'd say the opposite.

Ete. A single search shows a Breakstone's 48 oz cottage cheese tub for $4.99 online! And it has an OU-D. I pay more for a Mehadrin 16 oz.

Are there no big American cheese companies with an OU-D? I never checked but I'd assume there is.
Anyways, Costco CY cheese is limited to some mozzarella cheese. No cottage, farmer or American cheese.
