That wasn't in the original terms, file the complaint.
Might need to file a formal complaint if informal doesn't work.

Do you have a post on formal vs informal? I only found the complaint site https://airconsumer.dot.gov/escomplaint/ConsumerForm.cfm

Just as data points this is with 3 HUCAs, talking to a supervisor and even trying the German call center.

Under this New policy you couldn't even change from Boston to NY which would be under 500 miles but now when I asked them is calculated as many many thousands.

Confirmed this is policy it seems. But even worse @Dan the new terms as of October 1 is a 500 mile radius if you're not a privilege club member and if you are it's within the same region but this seems to be completely misunderstood by agents.
