The Mayo has two tests, COR2G (to be discontinued 6/10) and VCOV2 (its successor).
The bikur cholim test was the OLD COR2G test (it will say this on the results)
for COR2G test:
Less than 1.01 is negative
between 1.01 and 1.20 is indecisive
more than 1.2 is positive

For laypeople:

The Mayo has two tests, COR2G (to be discontinued 6/10) and VCOV2 (its successor).
The bikur cholim test was the OLD COR2G test! (it will say this on the results)

Here are the differences:
COR2G is an ELISA test (which is usually extremely accurate and essentially gold-standard).
VCOV2 is chemiluminescense (which is close to ELISA but not as good).

COR2G has NOT been approved by the FDA under EUA.
VCOV2 has been approved under EUA

Most importantly:
COR2G tests for an antibody against the COVID virus shell (the nucleocapsid protein which is basically the case surrounding the virus RNA).
VCOV2 tests for an antibody against the SPIKES sticking out of the virus shell (the spikes are what gives COVID its "crown"- hence coronavirus as corona means crown).
They are testing for different antibodies!

Most antibody tests test for the spikes, not the shell so it is surprising to me that they would test for the shell. But someone I know tested positive on an Abbot spike test and tested negative on a Mayo shell test- so it is possible to have spike antibodies and not shell antibodies!

Or it’s possible one of them was inaccurate. Or other possibilities.

Anyone have a Roche test yet?
I heard that bioreference recently switched to the Roche test as it's more accurate, some relatives got it at their pediatrician this week.

Anyone know how much antibodies weigh? I must’ve put on 15 pounds since I recovered, and couldn’t figure out why. I just got my test results that I have a lot of antibodies.
Must be the antibodies!

I was the last one. I was the most liberal with the rules among my family and friends, so many of them tested positive, while I was negative.
Go figure, I already did.

Plenty of reason. Just that they don't align with the many assumptions which were proven wrong time and time again, yet they won't change.

They did change, but that was only to allow for protests.

Got my results

When my wife saw this she asked me what's the positive and what's the negative. I couldn't resist doing the DJT thing (had to modify it a little since this is an antibody test rather than a virus test) ... ;D
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

There are good reasons based on real science which I have discussed many times in addition to some speculative reasons which some researchers are studying with some level of success.

If I want to get myself tested for antibodies, which test is considered the most reliable and accurate, and are there any that should specifically be avoided?

Immunocompromised relative just came back positive for antibodies. Test supposedly has 99%+ specificity. We were bringing food to her home and she was pretty strict about SD, but she may have had an asymptomatic case from exposure before purim? In any case quite relieved. She was very high risk.

Where did she take this test? How can someone obtain a test with 99%+ specificity in Lakewood?
