The Mayo has two tests, COR2G (to be discontinued 6/10) and VCOV2 (its successor).
The bikur cholim test was the OLD COR2G test (it will say this on the results)
for COR2G test:
Less than 1.01 is negative
between 1.01 and 1.20 is indecisive
more than 1.2 is positive

Above 1.2 is considered conclusive. 1.0-1.2 is questionable.
Do you have a source for that? Someone just asked me.

Had symptoms (sick in bed with fever for 4 days or so) after being exposed to people that subsequently got sick and tested positive. Was pretty sure I had it and didn't see a point in getting tested at the time

As the data is coming in two key things seem to be emerging:
A) Most people who haven’t had symptoms who test do NOT have antibodies
B) There are more symptomatic people who tested negative than asymptomatic people who tested positive (for antibodies)

I'm very curious to see if you find more negatives than you thought you'd find.

I don’t have enough data yet. But the results so far look similar to the poll on this thread

Five people who I am aware of who got results today including myself. 3 symptomatic (classic symptoms) tested positive. 1 symptomatic (muscle pain and fatigue only) tested negative. One asymptomatic tested negative. No need to speculate based on anecdotal or small sample size. Let’s see what the data on the 3000 to 4000 shows in the aggregate.

Selection bias is clearly showing in the poll. Only 28 of the 81 people who’ve taken the poll so far did not have symptoms.

Correct, but you realize your sample size corresponds to what I speculated.

By all means, please have them fill out the form.

Chai urgent care in Lakewood sends to Empire Laboratory, and as of last week they have the number of antibodies level, (not just positive negative)
Empire now uses Diasorin, which is considered good

Hearing some very decent numbers with the antibody testing. Substantially  higher than other areas. Let’s see what the end results are.

Anecdotally, or from someone with knowledge of the actual numbers?

DP - The 3 people that I know who took it all were negative.

Everyone I know who took it was negative too, but that's just 4 people. One of those was pretty sure they had it and had already tested positive for antibiotics at Chai

I tested negative for Covid19 this week, tested negative for antibodies twice. Same for my wife and a few children. 3 of my other children tested positive for antibodies. It's a strange virus indeed.

I still don’t understand why people have a hard time accepting that not every person exposed gets it right then and there. It’s not nearly the most contagious virus we’ve seen. We all accept that someone can have the flu, a common cold, strep, etc. and a family member can not get infected from them. Certainly, the family member can later go on to get infected from someone else. What’s shver about the concept? It’s common knowledge. Even measles, which is one of the most contagious illnesses we know of (and far more contagious than COVID-19) obviously doesn’t infect *everybody* that comes in sustained contact!

I think I’ve identified a culprit. While this is significantly more contagious than the flu, it’s by far not the most contagious virus out there, but it’s super deadly also, which makes it a deadly combination. When people want to believe that it’s not that deadly, the only thing they can fall back on is that it’s super contagious, which leads them to question why every single person exposed has not yet contracted it.

A key thing to understand is it doesn’t necessarily infect people much more efficiently than the flu (though it does seem more efficient). The chief driver of the contagion seems to be the length of time infected people shed for, and the fact that presymptomatic people shed as well. That differentiates it from the flu and raises the R0 number. But of course it’s possible (and common) to not catch it from a family member, even from a spouse! I’m sure many here can testify to having had one spouse get the flu in the past and one spouse not.

That’s not how contagion works.

You do realize that this doesn't [nessacerialy] mean that people had it but don't have anti bodies.

The people testing negative but had symptoms could have simply had the flu or a cold, but that's called symptomatic cause everyone was assuming it MUST be COVID 19

He realizes. He's not trying to prove you have no antibodies after infection. He's just trying to put real numbers on communities where there are claims that everyone had it already.
